Best Sellers March 12th, 2023

1. Things we Hide from the Light, by Lucy Score. The book begins with Nash recovering from the gunshot wound he sustained in the first book of the series, Things We Never Got Over. Nash is battling depression due to the shooting, and Lina shows up to assist him, but his brother also enters the picture… The character development is excellent, and the book is easy to read, although the book is long: 578 pages.

​2. It Starts with Us, by Colleen Hoover. This book is the sequel to It Ends with Us, and Lily reconnects with Atlas, her first boyfriend. Ryle, on the other hand, is not happy at all. Read our review here!

​3. It Ends with Us, by Colleen Hoover. This book has been on the list for 92 weeks! That is almost two years! The novel is heart-wrenching about a young woman struggling with the complexity of love and the cycle of abuse. Here is our review!​

4. Lessons in Chemistry, by Bonnie Garmus. The book follows Elizabeth's professional path as a scientist and TV star while being a single mother in the 1960s. Read our review of this rather enjoyable book.

5. Burner, by Mark Greaney. In the 12th book of the Gray Man series, Alex Velesky steals records from a Swiss bank to uncover a criminal conspiracy but finds himself hunted by the Russian mafia and CIA. But, unfortunately, court and Zoya are after him for different reasons.


New Book Releases - March 21st

1. Earth's the Right Place for Love, by Elizabeth Berg. Arthur befriends his crush, Nola, who is smitten with his older brother Frank. Arthur finds solace in nature as the family faces tragedy and their father's issues. Elizabeth Berg's novel explores love, kindness, and family, showcasing the unexpected growth of love.

2. Commitment, by Mona Simpson. Diane Aziz's depression leaves her children to navigate life alone. Walter, at UC Berkeley, finds his passion for architecture but faces financial challenges. Working in an ice cream parlor, Lina risks everything to join her wealthy classmates at Ivy League schools. At the same time, Donny drifts into a dangerous drug-filled lifestyle. Mona Simpson's novel explores family, duty, and the impact of a parent's illness on their children's lives, highlighting the importance of friends and resilience in challenging times.

3. The Fake, by Zoe Whithall. In this story, Shelby and Gibson are captivated by the enigmatic Cammie, who turns out to be a pathological liar. Media Recommendation

This week's media recommendation is another podcast. This time, it's The History of Literature Podcast, hosted by Jacke Wilson, who self-identifies as an amateur enthusiast.
