Coleen Hoover, who had four titles on the bestseller list last week, has been dethroned by a new number 1. See the list below:

1. Things we Hide from the Light, by Lucy Score. The book begins with Nash recovering from the gunshot wound he sustained in the first book of the series, Things We Never Got Over. Nash is battling depression due to the shooting, and Lina shows up to assist him, but his brother also enters the picture... The character development is excellent, and the book is easy to read, although the book is long: 578 pages.

2. It Starts with Us, by Colleen Hoover. This book is the sequel to It Ends with Us, and Lily reconnects with Atlas, her first boyfriend. Ryle, on the other hand, is not happy at all. Read our review here!

3. It Ends with Us, by Colleen Hoover. This book has been on the list for 91 weeks! The novel is a heart-wrenching novel about a young woman struggling with the complexity of love and the cycle of abuse. Here is our review!

4. Lessons in Chemistry, by Bonnie Garmus. The book follows Elizabeth's professional path as a scientist and TV star, while being a single mother in the 1960s. Read our review of this rather enjoyable book.

5. Burner, by Mark Greaney. In the 12th book of the Gray Man series, Alex Velesky steals records from a Swiss bank to uncover a criminal conspiracy but finds himself hunted by the Russian mafia and CIA. Court and Zoya are after him for different reasons.

New Book Releases - March 15th

Here are some titles that will be released next week. Tell us which one you would like to be reviewed!

Women We Buried, Women We Burned, by Rachel Louise Snyder. In this book, her author shares her inspiring story of resilience. Expelled from school and left homeless at 16, she became a reporter and traveled to places like India and Tibet, interviewing survivors of trauma. Living in Cambodia, she found healing and a new perspective on family wounds. This memoir is a piercing account of Snyder's journey from teenage runaway to global reporter on domestic violence.

Künstlers in Paradise, by Cathleen Shine. Julian moves to L.A. to find work in the entertainment industry but gets trapped by the lockdown with his 93-year-old grandmother. As she shares stories of famous emigres, Julian learns about the past and the power of stories. This beautifully written novel by Cathleen Schine is a tender and humorous examination of identity, displacement, and coming of age, both in the pandemic and beyond.

The Dog of the North, by Elizabeth McKenzie. Penny Rush is facing several challenges, from a failed marriage and job to her missing parents and mentally unstable father. But she's an expert at new beginnings. Join Penny on a road trip in an old van with a dog named "Kweecoats" and two suspicious brothers. Along the way, she'll face injury, peril, and questions about her grandmother's secret experiments. This humorous novel reminds us that life's curveballs can bring us closer to our true selves.

Hello Beautiful, by Ann Napolitano. William Waters escapes his troubled home with a basketball scholarship and meets Julia Padavano, a spirited young woman with three loving sisters. But William's dark past resurfaces, creating a catastrophic family rift. Will their loyalty be strong enough to bring them back together?

Media Recommendation

As we celebrate International Women's Day, it's only fitting to highlight the achievements of female writers. In my search, I stumbled upon an insightful interview with Alice Munro, the Nobel Prize winner in Literature for 2013. Munro's works have captured the essence of women's lives, exploring the complexities and contradictions of their experiences.

As a writer who often delves into the lives of women in rural Canada, Munro's perspective is a refreshing and poignant reminder of the power of women's stories.

This International Women's Day, let's take a moment to appreciate the contributions of women in literature, and the impact their stories have had on shaping our understanding of the world.
